Helping you break free from the past…
Trauma therapy empowers you to reclaim control over your life and rewrite your story from a place of strength and healing.
You don’t have to walk alone as you untangle the past.
Together, we'll create a safe and supportive space where you can share your experiences without fear of judgment or pressure.
Trauma therapy is a specialized form of therapy designed to help you process and heal from traumatic experiences. Whether you've experienced a single distressing event or a series of challenges over time, my approach is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to work through your trauma.
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, I have advanced training and expertise in supporting those with trauma. I use somatic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT, or Tapping, as some call it) in my work with clients.
These approaches extend beyond simply sharing your story. Research shows that healing from trauma doesn't require revisiting every detail of the experience. Some folks find it very healing to be able to tell their stories. If that’s something you’re looking for, I’ll help you tell your story in a way that doesn’t feel as though you’re re-living the experience.
We'll work together to set achievable goals, empowering you to reclaim control over your life and rewrite your story from a place of strength and healing.

Nope! Research shows that there are ways we can heal from trauma that don’t involve talking about all the details. I use somatic approaches such as EMDR to help clients process and heal from trauma. For some, talking about what happened is an important part of healing, so there is certainly room for that if it’s important to you. I’ll help you tell your story in a way that doesn’t feel like you’re re-living the past.

This is actually something we’ll work on before we even dive into processing trauma. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, I’m well-equipped to support you as you learn ways to soothe yourself and feel at ease if you start to feel overwhelmed.
We’ll practice coping skills in session, and you can practice them in between sessions. We’ll always go at your pace, and I’ll be right there to support you in caring for yourself and helping you feel grounded and relaxed. -
Most clients begin to feel relief from their symptoms within the first few sessions. We start with learning coping strategies, which often helps pretty quickly. If you’ve experienced a single traumatic event, therapy may only take a few sessions.
For more complex trauma, it might take several weeks, months or longer. Every person's journey is unique, and we can discuss your specific situation during a consultation call. Let’s talk! -
Yes! Research shows that telehealth EMDR is just as effective as in-person EMDR. Some clients report it is more comfortable since they can be in their own space at home.
