I’m so glad you’re here!
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, unfocused, exhausted or weighed down by your past (or present),
you’re in the right place.
Wild Lotus Therapy was created to provide specialized support for neurodivergent folks who want to take back control of their lives, find peace and heal from past trauma.
Together, we’ll discover effective ways to manage stress and release the overwhelming pressure that you feel.
My lived experience as a trauma survivor with ADHD allows me to provide you with support in a unique way - because I understand the struggle, and I’ve experienced the life-changing impacts therapy can have.
How I show up
I show up to sessions as myself, and my hope is that you’ll feel like you can do the same. You won’t see me in a blazer, nodding with a straight face and scribbling notes like therapists on TV.
My favorite work attire is a Taylor Swift hoodie, yoga pants and a messy bun. I’m not perfect, and I don’t pretend to be. When you work with me, you’re getting an actual human on the other side of the screen.
I don’t have a poker face, and I call it like I see it (in a gentle way and often with a healthy dose of humor).
I believe therapy is a place where you can laugh, cry, be mad - you name it.
In therapy with me, you’ll get to explore what makes you tick—your triggers, your strengths, and all the stuff that makes you, well…YOU. And you’ll get to do this in a judgment-free zone with someone who totally gets it.
What Our Work Together Will Look Like
First things first - it’s my job to earn your trust. I don’t expect you to share all the tough stuff right away. You always get to call the shots about what we focus on (no worries if you’re not sure where to start - I can help you sift through things to figure it out!).
Showing up for that first therapy appointment can feel terrifying as hell, and I don’t take that lightly! One of the most important things for me to do in our first appointment is to help you feel at ease, to answer your questions and to provide you with reassurance and hope.
We’ll go at your pace, and you’ll be the one in the driver’s seat. You can think of me as the upbeat passenger or GPS system in your car. I’m here to provide support and guidance, but when it comes down to it, you’re the one in charge.
(My apologies in advance for not supplying you with delicious road trip snacks - it’s one of the very few downsides of online therapy - you’re in charge of bringing your own snacks).
What My Therapy Style Looks Like
All of the approaches we’ll use in your sessions are backed by science and research and are proven to be effective in bringing relief to folks struggling with ADHD and trauma.
A big part of my therapy style is helping you understand how your brain works a bit better. Once you get a handle on how your body and brain respond to stress and trauma, you’ll see that your struggles aren’t character flaws — they're pretty much how any of us would react to tough stuff.
For instance, have you ever caught yourself saying things like “What’s wrong with me? Why can’t I just stop stressing over this?” or “Why am I so scatterbrained? I swear I lose my keys at least 87 times a day!” Or what about, “Why can’t I just let this go?”
Therapy helps you go from thinking, “What is wrong with me? Why can’t I handle this?” to “Oh, dang. This is just my brain trying to protect me. I’ve got this.”
Therapy can also help your body go from feeling tense and frazzled to
feeling super chill and peaceful.
Each time we have a session, I’ll check in with you to find out what your priority is for our time together that day. Some sessions may focus mostly on talking things through, while other sessions might focus on processing trauma or practicing coping strategies to help
soothe your mind and body.
You deserve to have a calm, relaxing, and welcoming space with someone you can talk to without a filter, and you deserve a place where you don’t have to have it all together.
My Story
You could say I’m a bit of a firecracker - I speak my mind, I am a fierce advocate, and I stand my ground, but I wasn’t always like this. I was a shy kid with big emotions who felt like I never fit in.
I spent a big chunk of my life as a people pleaser who had no idea how to stand up for myself. I survived some pretty terrible things, and I can remember truly believing that I’d be haunted by those memories forever.
All of that changed about 15 years ago when I started working with a therapist who helped me find my voice. She helped me see my worth, taught me ways to cope with debilitating panic, anxiety and flashbacks, and I experienced what it was like to bid farewell to the nightmares of the past and learn to truly love myself and to thrive in this world.
Therapy was one of the best things that ever happened to me (*spoiler alert - I still go to therapy!), and that’s why I consider my role as a therapist to be one of the greatest honors I could ever have - I get to help people just like you learn ways to cope with stress and unravel the past in order to create a fresh start and finally feel free.

Why Wild Lotus?
The lotus has always fascinated me - it’s seriously one of the most rebellious flowers in existence.
It thrives in challenging environments filled with mud and murky water. Every night its petals close and it retreats beneath the water’s surface. Logic would tell us that the flower is toast by morning. There’s no coming back from that, right? Wrong.
Every morning these badass beauties literally defy nature by rising, blooming and appearing completely unharmed by the mud and muck that surrounds them.
We share a lot with the lotus. We can rise from the depths of struggle and pain and bloom beautifully, too.
Therapy is one way to find that beauty—it gives us hope, helps us rewrite our stories, and helps us discover our true selves.
I included the word "wild" before lotus because, for those living with ADHD or trauma,
we're often told that we’re too much. We’re told to tone it down, be quiet, sit still, and go unnoticed.
Somewhere along the way, the world chipped away at our wild roots and convinced us we had to be tame.
Sorry (not sorry at all, actually), but I call bullshit on that.
My hope is that, through our work together, you'll reconnect with your wild self,
the part of you that existed before the world told you that you weren’t good enough — that part of yourself where you can be fully you and
let go of what holds you back.
Fun Facts. Credentials. Education.
Fun Facts
Pepperoni and bacon pizza with spicy honey rocks my face off. I believe yoga, cookie butter from Trader Joes, 90s music, the smell of pine trees and Netflix marathons have legitimate therapeutic benefits. When I’m not being a therapist, one of my favorite past times is losing Super Mario Kart battles to my husband and kids.
Education
I earned my Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW) from Northern Arizona University and my Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Simmons University. I am a giant nerd who loves to learn, and I participate in as much training, consultation and self-study as I can for each of the areas of therapy I specialize in.
Credentials
I’m licensed by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my EMDR training from an EMDRIA-approved EMDR training, and I’m currently in the process of becoming EMDR-certified. I’m a Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist through the Arizona Trauma Institute.
