If you’re a neurodivergent woman in perimenopause — ADHD, autism, or AuDHD — you know the struggle: your brain feels like a squirrel at a disco, thoughts bouncing in a million directions, energy flat, and motivation nowhere to be found.
Perimenopause brain fog, hormone shifts, and sensory overwhelm can make daily life feel like a never-ending obstacle course. You have ideas, creativity, and big plans — but ADHD overwhelm, forgetfulness, and burnout keep stopping you before you even start.
Burnout, Brain Fog & Overwhelm in Perimenopause? You’re Not Alone.
Why This Happens
Perimenopause changes hormones that affect focus, mood, and energy. Combine that with ADHD, autism, or AuDHD, and it’s easy to feel overstimulated, scattered, and frustrated.
You might notice:
Difficulty focusing or staying organized
Emotional intensity or sudden irritability
Chronic fatigue and burnout
Forgetfulness or “brain fog”
Feeling like your ideas never make it to action
If this sounds familiar, you’re not broken — your nervous system is reacting to layers of change, and that’s where I come in.
How I Can Help
I work with neurodivergent women in perimenopause using depth psychology, art- and nature-based approaches, and somatic practices to:
Calm overwhelm and release stress from your body
Understand the deeper patterns, habits, and beliefs shaping your experience
Find ways to reconnect with your creativity, energy, and true self
Build sustainable strategies for focus, motivation, and emotional balance
This isn’t about “pushing through” or trying harder. It’s about real relief, clarity, and connection with yourself — and learning to live fully, even when hormones, overwhelm, and ADHD or autism symptoms collide.
Hi, I’m Sera.
Late-diagnosed AuDHD (autistic + ADHD), mom to AuDHD kids, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker — though here, I’m not a therapist. I’m showing up as your coach and guide in reclaiming your wild.
I blend lived experience, nervous system wisdom, intuition, art, nature and dreamwork to help you cut through the chaos, ground your energy, and remember who you are are underneath all the conditioning.
This isn’t about fixing yourself.
It’s about coming home to yourself — with compassion, humor, and a few well-placed swear words along the way.
Specialties
ADHD
ADHD during perimenopause can make your brain feel like 87 tabs are open at once, all screaming for attention. Focus, motivation, and organization suddenly feel impossible, even for things you care about. I help neurodivergent women navigate ADHD overwhelm, build practical systems, and channel your creativity without forcing yourself to “just try harder.”
Perimenopause
Perimenopause isn’t subtle — hot flashes, brain fog, sleep struggles, and emotional ups and downs can feel relentless. For neurodivergent women, it can amplify overwhelm, exhaustion, and self-doubt. I help you make sense of what’s happening, reclaim your energy, and find strategies that actually fit your brain and life.
Autism
Autistic women often spend life adapting to a world that doesn’t fit. Hormonal shifts in perimenopause can intensify sensory overwhelm, fatigue, and emotional intensity, leaving you drained and frustrated. I help neurodivergent women honor their wiring, understand patterns shaping their experience, and find ways to thrive while staying unapologetically themselves.
READY TO START OUR WORK TOGETHER?
Here’s how it works…
1. Schedule a FREE 15-Minute Consultation
I’m currently accepting new clients, and I have appointments available on weekdays! The consultation call is the perfect place for you to ask any questions you have, and I can explain more about how I work. This is a time set aside just for you that helps us decide if we’d be a good fit to work together.
2. Intake Appointment & Goal Setting
Your first appointment will be focused on sharing about your history (to the extent that you feel comfortable) and each of us getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s causing you the most stress and set specific goals for our work together. If you plan to use your insurance benefits, we’ll discuss a diagnosis (a diagnosis is required with insurance). If you’re not using insurance, a diagnosis is not required.
3. Regular Therapy Sessions
Once we’ve determined your goals together, we’ll start our regular therapy sessions. I recommend weekly sessions when we begin our work. This helps us to build trust and gain traction so you can start to feel relief as soon as possible. Sometimes it’s appropriate to meet every other week. The frequency of sessions all depends on what your goals are - we can talk more about it in your consultation call!
